  1. I would like to register a formal complaint against the sponsors/hostess (Ms. Bessie Bell) of Message In The Music New Artist Showcase held on March 30, 2007 at Cathedral of the Cross Church in Centerpoint, AL.

My son was one of the artists who performed on Friday night. He was so captivating and worshipful, and really brought the evening to a whole new spiritual dimension. To my dismay, at the time of his stage performance, only 4 judges were present instead of the allotted 5 judges. The 5th judge came into the sanctuary after my son’s performance and thereby did not have the privilege to vote points to my son. As a result, my son only received 4 scorecards from 4 judges instead of 5 scorecards from 5 judges ( which the first place winner had received), whereas, the contestants in the next second, third, etc. sets/segments had the advantage of receiving points from 5 judges. Ultimately, my son did not receive all of the possible points that he should have gotten.

I strongly believe that he would have won first place in the talent competition if the 5th judge had only heard his outstanding performance. My son’s name is Bernard Williams, II, and he is an awesome, anointed ambassador of the Lord. He therefore, should be afforded recording time in the studios as well as, the first place winner.

I think you owe him an apology for the failure on your part to allow him to be heard by all 5 judges. You should contact him as soon as possible. In the future, during your New Artist Showcase, ensure that all contestants have the benefit of points from all appointed judges.

    Sincerely,
    Delores D. Williams

  2. Ms. Williams… we can not grant the apology because it is not “we” who put on the event. I’m sorry to hear about the situation, but you should contact the organization directly. This site only posts news stories about these type of events and does not typically communicate with the organizers. Perhaps they will see your comment and address your concerns directly. Thank you for your understanding of OUR position here on this website.
